Albert Henke is admitted to the Milan Bar Association and has solid experience in civil and commercial litigation, both before state courts and in arbitration proceedings, with particular focus on contract and corporate law, as well as on complex disputes, including at a transnational level.
Before founding the HenkeZulberti Firm, he was, during the years 2005-2006, an Associate Legal Expert in Vienna at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), subsequently collaborating with leading international law firms.
He is an Associate Professor of Civil Procedural Law, Jean Monnet Professor of Transnational Commercial Litigation, and lecturer in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration at the University of Milan, where he is also the scientific coordinator of the DEuTraDiS Research Center (on Domestic, European and Transnational Dispute Settlement) and director of the Milan Moot Court Academy – Litigation & Arbitration.
Author of a monograph (The Conflicts of Jurisdiction between Arbitrator and State Judge in Italian and Comparative Law, Turin, 2022) and editor of two collective works, he has published dozens of essays, in Italian and English, in the field of national, international, comparative, and European civil procedural law, as well as national, international, and investment arbitration. He is a member of the editorial boards of numerous Italian and foreign legal journals, as well as scientific and professional associations, and regularly participates in national and international research projects.
He is a member of the Consultative Committee of the European Law Institute for the Third Party Funding of Litigation project and for the Case-Overload at the European Court of Human Rights project.
He is a member of the Civil Justice Commission of the Milan Bar Association.
He speaks fluent Italian, English, and German and has a good knowledge of French and Spanish.
